Abstract
This document provides an overview of IDC' s definition of unified
communications, which will form the basis of our UC research in Europe. It
builds on work done by IDC' s worldwide unified communications team.
"Unified communications will be one of the major drivers of ICT markets over
the coming years. IDC will cover UC in great detail, using the definition in
this document as the point of departure," said Chris Barnard, research
