Abstract
This IDC study focuses on the services-related findings and implications for
providers of these emerging services. IDC recently surveyed over 1,500
respondents worldwide about their attitudes, approaches, and purchasing
decisions related to green IT.
"The cost of energy is the main reason why organizations are adopting green IT,
both within the United States and worldwide," says Gard Little, program
manager, Emerging Services Opportunities. "Likewise, the measurement or
monitoring of energy consumption is the leading offering respondents plan to
purchase from external service providers."
