Abstract
IDC' s annual European WAN Manager Survey provides a valuable measure of
companies' changing use of communications technology and services. This latest
survey for 2008 includes the results of interviews with 672 end-user
organizations across Western Europe, and shows how areas such as carrier
Ethernet, IP VPN, and remote working are progressing.
According to James Eibisch, research director for IDC' s European Business
Network Services, "This year' s survey shows that IP VPN services still dominate
in Europe and that improving network security, performance, and quality are the
biggest drivers currently."
