Abstract
This report (which is a translation of the Japanese report
IDC #J9030102) is an analysis on the trends and future
prospects of the Japan datacenter network infrastructure market. The expansion
of datacenter facilities for Internet services and the move toward
centralizing the datacenters of enterprise IT system platforms are forecast
to form the foundation for growth within the Japan datacenter
network infrastructure market. In addition, IDC believes that changes in
server architecture facilitate improvements in speed/density and higher-level functions in
datacenter infrastructure.
"Enterprise users that utilize their own proprietary datacenters are
conscious of rising power consumption and the increased operation management
workload. Network equipment vendors are facing demands for improved power
efficiency and manageability," analyzes Kenichi Kusano, market analyst, Communications, IDC
Japan.
