Abstract
In 2008, the European market for spinal implants was valued at over ¬ 625
million. The European market consists of the following segments: spinal fusion
devices, non-fusion devices, and vertebral compression fracture (VCF)
treatments. The European market, as defined in this report, encompasses
Germany, France, the U.K., Spain, Italy, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands,
Luxemburg), Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden), as well as
Switzerland, Austria and Portugal. Each segment of the European spinal
implants market will experience growth over the forecast period, although,
overall market growth will be largely driven by growth of the markets for
non-fusion devices and VCF treatments.
