Abstract
This research report presents shipment volume and value forecast and recent
quarter review of shipment volume, value, price trends, manufacturer volume
rankings, manufacturer tier position, and shipment by maker. The report also
provides product mix analyses including resolution, image sensor technology,
and lens types. The report examines production locations, shipment
destinations, and business types and also includes breakdowns by tier for
price trend, image sensor, and resolution. The content of this report is based
on primary data obtained through interviews with DSC makers. The report finds
that the Taiwanese industry' s shipment volume saw a sequential growth in the
second quarter of 2009. It is anticipated that the industry' s shipment volume
will hit new highs in the third quarter of 2009, owing to inventory
replenishments and advance purchases in anticipation of the peak-season at the
end of 2009.
