Abstract
In 2008, the number of mobile phone users in China reached 640 million, and
China Mobile is the world' s largest mobile operator. Even though the financial
crisis has affected many regions around the world in 2009, the growth of
mobile phone users in China continues, and the scale of growth is second
behind India. This report analyzes past and current development of China' s
mobile communications sector, and examines the sector' s revenue development as
well as competition between the three major operators China Mobile, China
Unicom and China Telecom.
