Abstract
This report presents volume and value of Taiwanese digital terrestrial STB
decoder chipset market; also provides ASP, ASP by solution, market volume by
solution, and market volume share by solution provider. The content of this
report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with digital
satellite STB decoder chipset providers. This report finds that following a
sharp sequential and year-on-year declines in the first quarter of 2009, the
Taiwanese digital terrestrial STB decoder chipset market witnessed a rebound,
posing a double-digit year-on-year and sequential growth in the second quarter
of 2009. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the substantial sequential and
year-on-year growth in market volume will not continue into the third quarter
and the market will see slight sequential and year-on-year declines instead in
the third quarter of 2009.
