Abstract
Japanese brand names have always positioned themselves in the high-end segment
of the Chinese color TV market, and they have chosen to do the same with the
emerging LCD TV market in China. Toshiba, Sony, and Panasonic are currently
the three major Japanese players in the Chinese LCD TV market. While the
sequence by market share size is Toshiba, Sony, and Panasonic, Sony has the
most vigorous growth in market share. This report will analyze the LCD TV
strategies of these three brand-name players in China.
