Abstract
Of the 94 mobile phone panels on display at FPD International 2006 in
Yokohama, a combined 60.7% were sized 2.2-, 2.4-, or 2.0-inch. From a
technological standpoint, a-Si TFT-LCD accounted for 39.4% of the total,
indicating its role as the dominant technology. In this report, specifications
for mobile phone panels from leading manufacturers are examined in detail, and
these manufacturers current status and future plans are analyzed.
