The Taiwanese Cable STB Industry, 2Q 2008

This research report presents shipment volume forecast and recent quarter review of the Taiwanese cable STB industry. The report includes cable STB shipment value, ASP, shipment share by maker, and product mix analysis. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with cable STB makers. The report finds that the Taiwanese cable STB shipment volume grew at a steady pace in the first quarter of 2008 and that the industry' s shipment share for the North American market, which features the world' s highest digital cable TV penetration rate, increased. Shipment volume growth rates of the industry are expected to increase in the second and third quarter of 2008.
