Abstract
This research report presents Taiwanese server motherboard shipment volume and
value forecast and recent quarter review of the Taiwanese server motherboard
industry. The report includes server motherboard shipment volume, shipment
value, ASP, volume and share by maker and by price point, and manufacturer
volume ranking. The report also includes shipment by CPU architecture and CPU
count. Production locations, shipment destinations, business types, and
customer portfolios are examined as well. The content of this report is based
on primary data obtained through interviews with server motherboard makers. In
the third quarter of 2008, the Taiwanese server motherboard industry still
posted slight shipment growth despite the global economic downturn. However,
server demand in emerging markets is expected to grow less than expected in
the future. The server motherboard industry thus is forecasted to experience
negative sequential growth in terms of shipment volume in the fourth quarter
of 2008, which is likely to affect revenues of some Taiwanese server makers
with high inventory levels.
