Abstract
Facing the global economic downturn and the lack of growth momentum due to
scarcity of new application features to stimulate the terminal product market,
worldwide small- and medium-sized TFT-LCD manufacturers, which have been under
pressure to enhance capacity utilization, are expected to see even more
challenges ahead. With terminal market demand slackening and panel production
capacity seeing further expansion, these manufacturers will have to devote
their efforts to exploring new market opportunities. This report analyzes the
current status of the worldwide small- and medium-sized TFT-LCD panel industry
and examines development scenarios for different types of manufacturers in the
future.
