The Taiwanese Dynamic Random Access Memory Industry, 2Q 2009

Abstract

This research presents shipment volume and value forecast of Taiwan-based DRAM production and recent quarter shipment review. The report includes DRAM shipment volume and value, ASP, manufacturer volume ranking, and shipment breakdowns by process technology, product mix, application mix and business type. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with DRAM makers, and publicly available information such as corporate financial statements. The report finds that Taiwanese DRAM shipment volume declined approximately 40% sequentially in the first quarter of 2009. DRAM prices were expected to increase in the second and third quarter of 2009.
