Abstract
This research report presents shipment volume and value forecast, as well as
recent quarter review of the Taiwanese cable STB industry, including cable STB
shipment volume and value, ASP, shipment share by maker, and product mix
analysis. The report also examines production locations, shipment
destinations, business types and customer portfolio. The content of this
report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with cable STB
makers. The report finds that the digital switchover among consumers slowed
down in the second quarter of 2009, and the reduced demand for cable STBs also
affected Taiwanese cable STB manufacturers. In the second half of 2009,
Taiwanese cable STB industry shipment volume is expected to experience
significant growth.
