Abstract
This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we

The report is devoted to research of market of crystalline quartz in CIS
countries and ignores data on quartz sands and quartzites, as well as on
products, obtained from them. The report is composed of 8 Sections, contains
71 Pages, including 12 Figures, 23 Tables and 1 Appendix. The report is a desk
research. As information sources, we used data of Rosstat (Russian Service of
State Statistics), Federal Customs Service of Russia, Russian official
domestic railage statistics, State Committees on Statistics of CIS countries,
sectoral and regional mass-media, yearly and quarterly reports of companies,
as well as web-sites of enterprise-producers of quartz.
The first Section of the report gives brief characteristics of standing of
world market of quartz.
The second Section of the report presents data on deposits of quartz and their
reserves in the CIS.
The third Section of the report is devoted to requirements, imposed on quality
of the commodity products.
The fourth Section of the report presents data on mining and production of
natural and artificial quartz in Russia in 1997-2007.
The Fifth Section describes current standing of quartz enterprises in Russia
and plans on mining and production of the product.
The sixth Section of the report analyses data on foreign trade operations in
natural and artificial quartz in Russia and Ukraine in 2000-2007. In addition,
the Section presents data on export-import prices on quartz.
The seventh Section of the report is devoted to analysis of domestic
consumption of quartz in Russia. In addition, the Section presents data on
directions and volumes of supplies of domestic quartz.
Final, eighth Section of the report presents prospects of quartz industry.
Appendix presents addresses and contact information of enterprises of quartz
industry in the CIS.
