Abstract
This report is available both in Russian and English versions.
The report is devoted to research of current standing of market of gypsum
stone and gypsum in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report
is composed of 9 Sections, contains 113 Pages, including 21 Figures, 46 Tables
and Appendix. This work is a desk research. As information sources, we used
data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (Rosstat, FSSS of
Russia), State Committees on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs
Service of Russia (FCS of Russia), State Customs Committee of Ukraine (SCC of
Ukraine), official Russian domestic railage statistics. Besides, data of
sectoral and regional mass-media, yearly and quarterly reports of companies,
as well as web-sites of enterprise-producers and consumers of gypsum and
gypsum articles were used.
The first Section of the report is devoted to characteristics of world market
of gypsum.
The second Section of the report is devoted to description of gypsum resources
base in CIS countries. It presents data on quantity of deposits and reserves
of gypsum in CIS countries, brief description of the main deposits. Regional
pattern of location of gypsum reserves in Russia is described here.
The third Section of the report presents requirements of valid
normative-technical documentation (regulations), imposed on quality of gypsum
stone, gypsum and gypsum binders.
The fourth Section is devoted to analysis of data on volumes of mining of
gypsum stone and production of gypsum in CIS countries in 2000-2007. It
presents regional pattern of production of gypsum stone and gypsum in Russia
in 2007, commodity pattern of gypsum production in Russia in 2007, data on
volumes of mining of gypsum stone and production of gypsum by leading
enterprises in 2002-2007.
The fifth Section is devoted to description of current standing of enterprises
of gypsum industry in CIS countries. The Section presents data on terms of
presence of enterprises at the market, volumes and assortment of their
products, realizing investment project, volumes and destinations of commodity
products supplies.
The sixth Section is devoted to analysis of foreign trade in gypsum of Russia
and Ukraine in 2000-2007, as well as Kazakhstan in 2005-2007. The Section
presents data on volumes of export and import of gypsum and gypsum stone in
bulk and in money terms, analyses regional pattern of the supplies, presents
data on volumes and destinations of supplies of leading exporters and
importers of gypsum.
The seventh Section of the report is devoted to analysis of domestic
consumption of gypsum in Russia. The Section presents supply-demand balance of
gypsum and gypsum stone, analyses effect of seasonality factor, presents data
on sectoral and regional pattern of consumption of the products, volumes and
destinations of gypsum and gypsum stone supplies to greatest consumers for the
latest 3 years. Besides, the Section describes current standing and prospects
of development of the main end-uses of gypsum.
The eighth Section of the report is devoted to price analysis. The Section
presents data on average producer' s prices on gypsum and gypsum stone in
Russia for the period from 2001 to 2007, as well as current prices on gypsum
products of some Russian producers. Dynamics of export-import prices on gypsum
and gypsum stone is shown, and forecast of price conjuncture of the market for
the period up to 2015 is given.
The ninth, final Section of the report presents forecast of development of
gypsum market in CIS countries up to 2015.
The Appendix contains addresses and contact information on the main
enterprises of gypsum industry in CIS countries.
