Abstract
The report is devoted to research of current standing of Russian market of
steel roll-formed sections and forecast of its development up to 2015. The
report is composed of 8 Sections, contains 129 Pages including: 59 Figures, 31
Tables. This work is desk study. As information sources, we used data of
Rosstat, Federal Customs Service of Russia, Russian domestic railage
statistics (official data of JSC "RZhD", sectoral and regional press, yearly
and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of company-producers
of ferrous metals.
The first Section of the report presents brief review of standing of world
market of ferrous metals and changes, happened at the market for the latest
several years and under effect of the global financial crisis. The Section
presents data on development of economies of leading developed western
countries in 2007-2008, as well as information about social-economic
development of Russia in 2000-2008.
The Section presents forecasts of further development of situation at the
world market for the nearest several years.
The second Section of the report analyses situation in ferrous metallurgy of
Russia in 2000-2008 and early 2009, presents data on production of the main
kinds of ferrous metallurgy products in the country, apparent consumption of
finished rolled steel, price changes at the market of ferrous metals.
The third Section of the report presents data on technological features of
production of steel roll-formed sections, information on the main GOSTs (State
Standards), which regulate manufacture of the products.
The fourth Section of the report presents analysis of production of steel
roll-formed sections in Russia in 2000-2008, demand for which considerably
increased for the latest several years. Steel roll-formed sections find wide
application in various sectors of industry, first of all, in machine building
and building sector. Increasing consumption of roll-formed sections is
encouraged by considerable economizing of steel and labour costs, opportunity
to obtain thin-walled roll-formed sections of practically any cross-section.
Advantages of roll-formed sections, determining fast development of their
production, are owed by broad opportunities of process of their manufacture
and its high technical-economic parameters, as well as a complex of
technological opportunities. For the discussed period, production of steel
roll-formed sections in the country was almost tripled.
In the Section, pattern and volumes of production of steel roll-formed
sections by the main kinds and regions in 2000-2008 is presented, as well as
analysis of roll-formed sections production by leading producers, with
description their positions at Russian market of roll-formed sections.
The fifth Section of the report is devoted to analysis of consumption of steel
roll-formed sections at Russian market, describes consumption of the products,
including by regions.
The sixth Section of the report analyses data of Federal Customs Service of
Russia on foreign trade operations in roll-formed sections in 2003-2007,
presents information on pattern of the export-import supplies.
The seventh Section of the report analyses price tendencies at Russian market
of steel roll-formed sections, as well as prices of export and import supplies
of the products.
The eighth Section of the report presents forecast of production and
consumption of roll-formed sections up to 2015.
