Abstract
This is the latest in a series of annual reviews of the European Online
Information Market prepared by IRN Research.
The survey examines two core markets:
- Business Information (including company and financial, news, market
research, legal & regulatory, economic and country information)
- Scientific, Technical, Medical (STM) Information
An Overview section analyses trends in the total European Online Information
Market. The data and analysis in the Overview section is based on a
combination of desk research, interviews with leading vendors and information
content providers, and selected results from IRN research and industry studies.
Separate sections cover the Business Information and STM Information markets
with each section providing a review of European market trends plus specific
reviews of UK, France, and Germany, supplier trends and M&A activity, and
details of key suppliers and services. Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities,
Threats (SWOT) analysis is followed by a final section offering an analysis of
