With broadband connectivity improving and developments in digital TV
technologies such as advanced compression, pay-TV operators and new service
providers are exploring new ways of delivering video content to viewers. This
report examines the dynamics in these markets, and the devices that are used
to enable new business models in home video delivery.
This worldwide study analyzes the market for various types of hybrid set-top
boxes for over 60 counties, from 2006 to 2012.
The following categories are forecast in unit shipments and revenues:
- Satellite: DTH+IP ; DTH+DTT ; DTH+IP+DTT
- Cable: Cable+IP ; Cable+DTT ; Cable+IP+DTT
