Description
In 2007, camera modules in vehicles started to appear in the higher-end
offerings by large vehicle manufacturers such as BMW. Cameras have been a hot
topic ever since and the demand to monitor the environment inside and outside
the vehicle is increasing. In 2009, cameras are seen in more mainstream
vehicles at hem same time, the camera systems in the high-end vehicles are
more sophisticated and multi-tasking. This report looks at for areas: firstly,
the demand for camera modules and camera-based systems; secondly, image
sensors, current and future demand as well as trends within image sensor
technology; thirdly, the role image processing will play in the near - to
medium future; and lastly, the competitive environment, including major
events, market share estimates and a supplier chain analysis.
The study will provide the following:
