IMS Research published the first detailed study on the global PV inverter
market in 2008, providing the only in-depth analysis of the solar inverter
market.
This second edition of the report, published at the end of May 2009, provides
highly detailed market sizes and forecasts for different types of PV inverter
within each of the 17 countries/regions analysed. The report was compiled over
a 6-month period by collecting real sales and shipment data from the largest
suppliers to the market and forecasts produced by analysing data relating to
feed-in tariffs and incentives, and other key factors such as module pricing.
The report also discusses the potential for micro-inverters and distributed
MPPT solution and market shares by major region and type are also shown (for
2008 and 2007) along with profiles of the leading suppliers to the market.
