This report focuses on the study of the global beryllium markets. It provides
region analysis on beryllium production. It features major beryllium
producers, prices, supply and demand conditions, international trade, etc. The
review also includes future outlook of the world beryllium market.
Beryllium is a very light, strong metal with a high melting point of
1,280°C, which is resis-tant to acids and has a high thermal
conductivity. These properties make it useful in a num-ber of applications as
a metal, as part of an alloy or as a ceramic. High processing costs generally
restrict its use to applications where there are no practical alternatives, or
where performance is critical.
