This report focuses on the study of the global gypsum markets. It provides
region analysis on gypsum production. It features major gypsum producers,
prices, supply and demand conditions, international trade, etc. The review
also includes future outlook of the world gypsum market.
Pure gypsum,
hydrous calcium sulphate (CaSO4 . 2H2O), is a fine-grained white mineral that
occasionally is grey or brown in its impure state. It forms by evaporation in
large marine basins where, by processes of evaporation and precipitation,
substantial thick-nesses of primary gypsum can form.
