This report focuses on the study of the global selenium markets. It provides
region analysis on selenium production. It features major selenium producers,
prices, supply and demand conditions, international trade, etc. The review
also includes future outlook of the world selenium market.
Selenium is a
light, weakly toxic, metalloid. Selenium has a wide range of uses; the largest
is in glass-making where it acts as a decolourizer, and it is also used in
ceramics, pigments, electronics, animal feed supplement and in base-metal
alloys. Its former major use in photocopiers has declined as it has been
replaced by other materials.
