Abstract

Methodology

In May 2008, Millennium Research Group (MRG) surveyed US gastroenterologists to gain insight on trends relating to colorectal cancer (CRC) screening

A total of 70 US gastroenterologists performing CRC screening were surveyed

  • Respondents were recruited through MRG' s proprietary in - house respondent databases and partner networks and on the conference floor of the 2008 Digestive Disease Week (DDW) Annual Meeting, held May 17 to 22 in San Diego, California.

The following study screeners were employed:

  • Do you currently perform CRC screening procedures?
    • Acceptable answer: Yes
  • Do you use colonoscopes to conduct routine colorectal cancer (CRC) screening procedures on your patients?
    • Acceptable answer: Yes
  • Please identify your medical specialty.
    • Acceptable answer: Gastroenterology
  • How many years have you been in practice (postresidency/fellowship)?
    • Acceptable answer: Fully practicing physician (nonresident/fellow)
