Abstract
This report is a revised version of our silver ink report, published in April
2008. In it we have reassessed the market for conductive silver inks in the
light of the current economic conditions. This study contains completely
updated forecasts that take account of likely fluctuations in silver prices
and their impact on the price of silver inks and the demand for silver ink
alternatives. We have also considered how changing energy prices will impact
the need for printed silver in the photovoltaics sector and lighting sectors,
and how recessionary and inflationary business environments will change the
need for silver inks in consumer electronics and RFID. In addition, the
revised report contains sections on the future investment environment and our
assessment of what the 2009 market for silver inks will look like. Finally,
where appropriate we have adjusted profiles of leading ink suppliers to
reflect the latest product and financial announcements.
