Abstract
Overview
In general, the Western European broadband market is on the brink of maturity
with many of the countries at or above 25% household penetration. Belgium and
the Netherlands have both exceeded this with approximately 40% penetration.
Growth rates beyond 40% penetration will be harder to maintain as the PC
household market starts to saturate.
Service providers in leading broadband countries will therefore be forced to
change marketing tactics as they move into the less technically aware mass
market.
