This report covers the market for publications aimed at the academic and
educational markets in the People's Republic of China.
For the purposes of this report, the academic market is defined as academic
institutions, their students and teachers, above high school level, including
universities, technical colleges, colleges of further learning and specialised
training institutions for students who have completed their secondary
education.
The educational market is defined as covering the educational institutions,
their students and teachers, from primary school, through middle school and
secondary school, also including specialist subject secondary schools.
The publications market includes academic and educational books and journals,
which are sold into academic and educational institutions, as well as sold
retail to the wider market.
