Abstract
The report analyses US telecom capex in terms of engineering,
furnishing and installation (E, F & I) products and services, on both an
available and captive market basis. Telecom capex, both wireless and wireline,
is given by year for the 2003-2008 period, along with forecasts to 2013.
Telecom capex by leading carriers is shown for 2006-2008. The shift in market
value from captive to available, i.e. the outsourcing of telecom engineering,
furnishing and installation during the 2008-2013 period is quantified.
Engineering, furnishing and installation available market values for both the
wireless and wireline segments are given. Market values for OEMs and
subcontractors in the wireless and wireline segments also are given. Finally,
OEM vs. subcontractor market values, both wireless and wireline, are provided.
The competitive environment is discussed including market driving forces,
market dynamics and market participants. Sales and market shares of leading
suppliers are shown. Finally, financial comparisons along with profiles of
leading players are provided.
