Telecom Equipment Market in Asia

Abstract

The Asia/Pacific telecommunication equipment market is in a booming stage. Collectively, equipment vendors realized US$43,007.2 million from sales of telecom equipment in 2005, while China and Japan topped as the two largest markets. Breaking up the equipment market by different product categories, wireless and Internet access equipment was the most sold, bringing in the largest dollar value. In the next two years, APAC's telecom equipment market will see a CAGR of 4.6%. Country-wise, India will have the fastest CAGR, close to 10%, for 2005-2007.
