Abstract
This report examines the Ethernet switch market for 2Q06. Market shares for a
wide range of Ethernet switch vendors are provided, based both on port
shipments and manufacturer's revenue for the quarter. In addition, port
shipments and manufacturer's revenue are forecasted for the three quarters
subsequent to 2Q06.
The data is highly segmented, both by OSI Layer (L2, L3, and L4-7) and
equipment configuration (Fixed vs. Modular), as well as by speed (Fast
Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet). Cross segmentation is
also provided for greater granularity (for example: L2 Fixed Fast Ethernet).
