Abstract
The speeding-up of China's cable TV digitization process, which is ensured by
strong policy requirements, is consequently pushing an increase in the size of
the digital cable set top box market in China. Unit shipments of digital cable
set-top boxes are projected to grow from 3 million in 2005 to 12 million in
2010.
The key driver behind the increase will come from basic set-top boxes. By
contrast, a steady growth in advanced-box shipments will appear during the
forecast period, due to under-developed value-added services and unready
infrastructures.
This report covers the China market for cable TV set top boxes, with
insightful analysis on China's cable TV digitization process. It also provides
