Abstract
This report examines the Ethernet switch market for 3Q06. Market shares for a
wide range of Ethernet switch vendors are provided, based both on port
shipments and manufacturer' s revenue for the quarter. In addition, port
shipments and manufacturer' s revenue are forecasted for the three quarters
subsequent to 3Q06.
The data is highly segmented, both by OSI Layer (L2, L3, and L4-7) and
equipment configuration (Fixed vs. Modular), as well as by speed (Fast
Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet). Cross segmentation is also
provided for greater granularity (for example: L2 Fixed Fast Ethernet).
