Abstract
This report covers "on-demand" or utility computing adoption trends in the
enterprise business market - firms with 1,000+ employees. Covered are current
and future adoption trends for three separate "on-demand" services: computer
storage, server/CPU capacity, and network/bandwidth capacity.
Included are reasons why current, or would-be users of utility computing
services are interested and what kind of provider they do, or would, turn to
for these services. Also included is data that reveals the reasons why utility
computing does not appeal to those respondents who indicate that they are not
at all interested in this type of service.
The report is based upon primary research obtained in a recent survey that
includes enterprise business network decision-makers.
