Abstract
This report examines the Ethernet switch market for 4Q07. Market shares for a
wide range of Ethernet switch vendors are provided, based both on port
shipments and manufacturers' revenue for the quarter. In addition, port
shipments and manufacturers' revenue are reported for the five quarters
subsequent to 4Q07. The data is highly segmented, both by OSI Layer (L2, L3,
and L4-7) and equipment configuration (Fixed vs. Modular), as well as by speed
(Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet). Cross segmentation is
also provided for greater granularity (for example: L2 Fixed Fast Ethernet).
