Scope
- This is a report of a series of three and covers one manufacturing sub-sector: Process.
- It involved a major end-user survey comprised of 100 of the top 300 global manufacturers, across three sub-sectors: Batch, Discrete and Process.
- It covered 7 geographies: Benelux, France, Germany, Ireland, North America, Switzerland, UK.
- The interviewees were typically C-Level execs, CIOs, IT managers and LOB managers.
Report Highlights
To sell solutions aimed at process manufacturers' supply-side operations, IT vendors should look to focus offerings around supplier performance, supplier compliance and contract management & compliance. Vendors should stress their solutions' ability to increase the value and efficiency of current systems and processes.
Vendors looking to penetrate new accounts in the process sub-sector may have to offer incentives around pricing and services. they must also be able to demonstrate domain expertise and solution scalability in particular.
