Introduction
This Datamonitor study examines top business challenges, IT budget outlook and
spending priorities among healthcare providers in the US, Canada, France,
Germany, Spain and the UK. It is based on the results of Datamonitor' s
Business Trends primary research, conducted in Q3 and Q4 of 2007 with a total
of 150 hospitals.
Scope
150 healthcare provider interviews Geographic coverage includes the US,
Canada, France, Germany, Spain and the UK.
Highlights
North American hospitals surveyed are more likely to invest in clinical
applications in the next 6 months than European hospital respondents. PACS,
Telehealth and EHRs will continue to be important investment areas for
hospitals in the future. As hospitals look to increase efficiencies and
customer satisfaction, vendor solutions that are able to do both will be
preferred.
