Report Highlights
The main trends seen during the month include year-on year increase in the
value and volume of contracts, deals valued under $25m accounting for 55% of
the total deal volume for April, network management contracts accounting for
15% of the total volume, and increase in outsourcing expenditure of Defense
agencies.
Other trends include EDS leading the IT services space with highest deal value
signed in the year, enterprises showing increased preference for deals signed
for less than three years in April. IT service contracts signed in the Latin
America region showed significant volume growth.
Of all the contracts expiring in the next six months, 26% are system
integration contracts and of the contracts due to expire by October 2008, 26%
are government contracts.
