The skirmishes between US cable and telecom providers are about to erupt into
a full-scale war. In the past, cable operators have had the weapons to fend
off any serious challenge from their telecom rivals, but 2008 will see a fight.
The Broadband Services report explores the changing dynamics in the
ongoing competition between cable and telecom providers.
eMarketer estimates that by 2012 there will be over 533 million broadband
households worldwide, of which 94.3 million will be in the US. A good
percentage of these broadband subscribers will also be subscribing to a bundle
