Growth in Internet users in Canada is slowing. It' s projected to be just 3.7%
in 2008. On the other hand, the online population is already approaching 23
million people - over two-thirds of all Canadians.
The Canada Internet report analyzes the county' s online demographics
and usage patterns as online population growth slows and matures.
Canada' s online population growth may be slowing, but that doesn' t mean things
are slowing down.
Broadband is more prevalent in Canada than in many other countries, including
the US.
Broadband penetration is also growing more quickly than the online population.
About two-thirds of households have broadband in 2008, but three-quarters will
benefit from high-speed connections by 2012.
