Abstract
This Energy Insights report covers our top 10 predictions for the global oil
and gas industry in 2008. The content of this report was also scheduled to be
presented as part of a Web conference on January 10, 2008. The scope of the
report includes both energy and information technologies.
"With the price of a barrel of crude exceeding a $100, increased demand for oil
and refined products coming from emerging countries, and the rising influence
of the national oil companies, 2008 promises to be another healthy but volatile
year for the oil and gas industry. Oil and gas companies will need to continue
to develop reserves and compete in a world that now includes more than the
supermajors," according to Mike Heagney, research director, Oil and Gas, at
Energy Insights.
