Abstract

This Energy Insights Perspective discusses the results of a 2007 Johnson Controls survey and how utilities can use this information to support their energy efficiency programs for business customers.

Companies are paying more attention to energy efficiency now then they did in the past, says Johnson Controls' survey of energy management decision makers at North American businesses. The survey also reveals that energy efficiency is a priority in the design of most planned or recently completed construction projects and that the majority of businesses are planning to make energy efficiency improvements to their facility. The main driver for increased interest in energy efficiency is to help ease the pain of rising energy prices.
