Abstract
This study covers external exhaust emission control systems for cars and light
trucks. These markets are projected to grow as emissions regulations tighten.
Systems covered are: catalytic converters, secondary air injection, and
external exhaust gas recirculation for gasoline engines; and diesel oxidation
catalysts, diesel particulate filters, external exhaust gas recirculation,
selective catalytic reduction, and lean NOx traps for diesel engines. Market
challenges, drivers, and restraints are presented. Markets are quantified in
terms of unit shipments, average prices, and revenues. Market participants are
briefly profiled.
