Abstract
The economic downturn experienced by many countries, along with the
instability in the political scenario and the "wait-and-see" attitude
influenced the implementation of IP solutions in key markets such as Brazil.
On the other hand, the Mexican market has shown significant results already in
the early stages of this market mostly due to its proximity to the United
States.
Looking forward, the potential of IP telephony rests in the new
functionalities and aggregate value it brings to enterprises looking for a new
competitive advantage.
