Abstract
Dynamic sensors are motion sensors (high-G accelerometers, low-G
accelerometers, and angular rate sensors); occupant detection systems for
smart airbag systems; and speed sensors (camshaft, crankshaft, and wheel
speed).
This volume covers the North American original equipment markets for these
sensors. Unit shipment and price drivers and restraints are presented, and
these yield unit shipment and average price forecasts, which in turn yield
market revenue forecasts. Because of the wide range of technologies used for
occupant detection, this application is covered in terms of systems rather
than individual sensors.
