Abstract
This research service looks at the value chain in the smart card market from
the manufacture of IC chips to the delivery of cards to the end user in the
Asia Pacific region. In particular, we look at the broad categories of players
in this value chain. Due to changes in the smart card market in recent years,
the resulting changes in market forces have caused some ripples among the
players in the chain. Some of the changes and effects on the players are
examined here.
