Abstract

The Belarus and Moldova power plant rehabilitation and refurbishment markets are among those markets in the post Soviet space that are well worth monitoring. Both countries are highly dependant on thermal power; both used to enjoy overcapacity of their generation facilities. However, as power plants have aged and went through a long period of poor maintenance, power plant refurbishment, modernisation and upgrades are right back on the utilities' agenda.
