Abstract

Owing to the sudden impetus in economic growth attributed by various factors and an ever-increasing population, the demand for electricity has been growing at a rapid pace. In order to meet these growing demands, considerable amounts of capacity are needed to be installed throughout the region. Steam and gas turbines, mainly through combined-cycle power plants have become the primary option for Latin American countries.
