Abstract
This research service investigates the European market for two classes of
audio conferencing products that work with work either or both the switched
public network (PSTN) and IP network. The first class is the tabletop unit
with loudspeaker, multiple microphones an in-built acoustic echo cancellation
capability which enables a group of people in one location to conduct a
telephone call with another distant party. The second class of product is the
personal audio communications peripheral, which is designed for use with a PC
or smartphone, contains a loudspeaker, one or more microphones, and an
acoustic echo cancellation capability and is designed to provide comfortable
handsfree conversations on a VoIP connection.
